Sleek Kiss

I have been absolutely loving Sleek
make up ever since I got my first Sleek Lipstick,
their products are so lovely and well made
and are not too harsh on your bank either!

And lately I've really been on the hunt for
a good day time summery (even though summer is nearly over?)
blusher and a good eyebrow kit of some sort.
So I thought why not check out Sleek first?

So this is what I came back with!

So first is the eyebrow "pencil".
This is more of a waxy crayon than a pencil
and I know waxy is't the word you really wanna hear when it
comes to eyebrows. If you go overboard by scratching it on like it's a Biro
then yes it may well look like you've gelled your brows.
But I only use a minimal amount just to get some shape into my brows.
However on a good side to it's waxy texture is you
can easily blend it out.
Especially when using the opposite end that comes with
a blending bristle.

It's very easy to apply with its angled tip enabling
you to create different thickness's.
This was from Superdrug and was £5.99.

Next is the Blusher.

I'm so glad I picked this up!
It's a beautiful matte Blush that is very easy to blend
and they have some lovely colours!
Also it is very compact so it's great to carry in your bag.

This is colour "sahara 934" and it is a lovely coral,
peachy colour that is a great pick me up for my
dull skin.
This was also from Superdrug for £4.49.

And lastly this isn't a Sleek product but I
thought I'd throw it instead of doing a separate review.

This primer is from a collection called 'Kiss'
from Wilkinsons.
This primer has been really good so far,
it glides on the skin nicely and leaves it feeling
ridiculously soft while keeping my make up in place for longer.
I did notice it helped my foundation and blusher to stop sliding off
when it was really hot so fingers crossed
it won't let me down on holiday!
This was a brilliant buy for only £4!

Have you tried any of these?
Any other good eyebrow kits I should try?

Mini Primark & Wilkinsons Haul

I don't know about you, but I think
there is not one girl alive who could walk into Primark
and not purchase something.
There's something about it that just makes you believe
you need whatever it is you've been bombarded with.

Like me; I had a pair of shorts I had to return
and I actually had to mentally prepare myself
to not buy anything!
But yet the minute I march through them beautiful doors
I find myself grabbing a bag
and heading straight for the dresses!

Even when I got to the till, they had packs
of mini toothbrush holders, did I need them? No.
Did I even have a mini toothbrush?Nope.
Was I going to buy it? Yes.
Why?? My brain justifies this with "it's cute".
And before I knew it I left wondering why that
just happened and now have to go
change my pennies up at Tesco to buy a drink...

But anyway despite the desperate woman
in me I did put back some of the clothes.
(I'll come back for them another time ;))
So here's a few things I picked up
for our Holiday!

So first things first are these trousers.
Now these are actually pyjamas but I thought
they'd look nice as light baggy trousers?
Maybe it's just me but either way they'll be super comfy.
These were £6.

These shorts are so adorable and for only £3 you can't go wrong!

These shoes are super comfy, they have a spongy
base and are elasticated for wide feet
so these will be great for days with a lot of walking.
£6.

Now I thought these were sooo cute.
Primark have some great hair bits at the moment
with lots of floral headbands and hair bands etc.
I thought these bands would look lovely in a bun
or plait.
These were just £2!

And finally I was looking for a cheap face Primer
for holiday to stop my make up sliding off
and I found this in Wilkinsons so I thought
I'd give it a go.

The brand is "Kiss" and this was just £4
but they have lots of products to offer.
I'll definitely be purchasing more if this is a hit.

That's it folks!
Let me know if you've tried this primer
and what did you think?

My Skin Care Routine

This is a pretty random post
but I thought I'd share my morning skin care routine.

I have quite dry skin and I get dry/rough patches on my skin
if I do not look after it, which feels horrible
but also makes make up look terrible!

So every morning after vegetating in bed for half an hour,
I start by exfoliating.
I think this is an absolute must for skin as it helps
to remove dead skin cells, making your skin soft and smooth.

I use 'Cyclax Apricot Facial Scrub'.
I buy this from a Pharmacy near me for only £3.99 but you
can find it online.

This is quite a rough exfoliator with extracts of Apricot.

So I just scrub this all over my face
avoiding the eyes!

Next I use my 'Nivea Daily Essentials Refreshing Cleansing Mousse'.
This stuff is so good, it is quick and easy to use
while refreshes and softens my skin.
I got this from Boots for just £4.99.

Then once that's washed off I use 'Simple Soothing facial toner'.
Again this was from Boots for £2.99.

Toners that I've used in the past seemed to irritate my skin
and make it feel "tight".
But this just makes my skin feel refreshed and it
definitely soothes it!

I drop some onto a cotton wool pad and just wipe around your face.
Simple ;)

Then last but not least I moisturise.
In the morning I like to use 'Garnier Moisture Match revitalising hydrating gel'.

I prefer to use something light and quick drying
in the morning so this is brilliant for giving you a quick moisture
boost and I personally find it great to use before doing
my make up too as it leaves your skin so
refreshed and smooth.

I got this from Superdrug for £5.99.

So I do the same routine at night,
however I prefer to use 'Nivea Creme' instead of 'Garnier'.

This is a lot thicker and really needs to soak into
your skin, thus why I use it at night.
This works particularly well on my cheeks and forehead as they
lack moisture throughout the day with makeup/sweat etc.

I got this from Boots for £3.39.

And that is it!
I hope you liked this?!
Have you used any of these products?
What's your skin care routine?

Soak Into Your Skin

I think we're all a little guilty of
being lazy when it comes to our skin.
I certainly know I'm the best example
of laziness for skin care.
(Among other things!)

But lately I've had enough and try hard to keep
my skin healthy.
After all, we only get one bag of skin
so make the most of it!

So I thought I'd share my moisturising miracles!
I give to you...

COCONUT OIL & ALOE VERA GEL!

I have noticed such a difference since using these.
My skin feels smoother and looks healthier.
So I'll go through and just tell you the main benefits
of each product.

Coconut oil is one of the best Natural nutrients for your skin
and can also be used on your hair.

Normally the oil is hard like a wax but it melts
in your hands instantly.
However I would recommend keeping it either in a cool cupboard
or even the fridge as mine has turned
to gloop in the heat!

For Hair:
- Put onto your hair while in the bath as it is brilliant
nourishment and helps the re-growth process of damaged hair.

- Apparently it helps if you suffer from Dandruff as well
if you rub it into your scalp.

For Skin:
- I always put this on after I've shaved my
legs. It helps to hydrate and stop shaving rash.

- I sometimes put a little on my face as it
helps delay the appearance of wrinkles and sagging of the skin.

- It can also be used to help certain skin conditions
such as; psoriasis, dermatitis, eczema and other skin infections.

Although this is melted, the consistency is still the same
if it were hard to begin with.
It isn't very thick and is relatively quick at drying
depending how much you apply.
(If you're like me and coat yourself in it
like you're basting a Turkey than you may be there a while!)

I got this 'Pure Coconut Oil' from my local Chemist
but you can find it anywhere and it's very inexpensive.

So next is the 'Aloe Vera Gel'.

Aloe Vera can be used for loads of things
regarding skin problems.

This is quite a thick gel but smooths out
easily and soaks into the skin pretty quickly.
The only downside I have to this is it can feel a little
sticky at times.

- It is brilliant with sunburn; it's been a life saver these past few weeks in this sun!

- It is really good for dry, irritated skin and can
be applied to stretch marks too!

- I usually put this on my skin all over throughout the day
for a refreshing pick me up and to keep
my skin smooth and moistened.

Someone bought me this so I'm not sure how much this particular one cost,
however you can buy it at 'Holland&Barrett'
for £3.99 for the 100ml and £6.99 for the 200ml.

So I hope this helped some of you
and if any of you use these what do you think of them?
