Let it snow

Well folks here are some little Christmas trinkets I've picked up
and thought I'd share some :)

This rocking horse and candle holder are both from Asdas.
The horse was £5 and the candle holder was £3.
The horse is made from metal and is so pretty.
And the candle holder has gold inside so even when the
candle isn't lit it still looks glowing and bright.
Perfect for Christmas or anywhere in the house
anytime of year!

This really cute stocking is also from Asdas at £5.
I thought they were so adorable I bought three! One for me,
one for my partner and one for my little pudding!
I plan to write our names on them with glitter.

These fabulously festive leggings are from Primark.
They were about £11. They are so comfy and snuggly!

This cute teeny-tiny jumper is from Primark.
Of course this is for my munchkin :)

(Sorry for the bad picture!)
This all in one suit is from Sainsburys for £18.
It's sooo comfy and fluffy! And it has a hood!

I'll be doing a massive Christmas Haul when I've finished
getting all the things I need. It's our first Christmas in our new
house and with our little princess so I'm so excited for
this year :)

Here are the links to these shops..

(Unfortunately Primark doesn't show you everything they do
but they show some bits)

Ohh La La

I've always pretty much worn high street makeup brands
which are cheap and normally just as good if not sometimes better
than big budget makeup. Especially for everyday makeup
I mean who wants to fork out hundreds of pounds each month on makeup?
I would love to just as much as anyone else but it's
just not practical.

That being said I do like to treat myself now and
again to a couple of items. I always find a good foundation
or concealer most worthwhile for me.

So here's what I've bought lately and thought I'd share
the thoughts floating around in my little bubble head of mine.

So first up is Benefits concealer called 'Erase Paste'. I got it
in shade number 1,Fair for £19.50.They also do shades 'Medium'
and 'Deep'.
Now this concealer is quite thick, almost has a waxy texture
to it so you really don't need a lot when applying and I find
the more you apply the more 'cakey' it can turn out.
If you have dry skin I definitely recommend using a facial
scrub and moisturise first as it can look a little flakey.
But overall I think it has a good coverage and does help to
minimise the appearance of breakouts.

Next is 'Estee Lauder' foundation called
'Double wear maximum cover camouflage makeup for face
and body SPF 15'.(Phew that was long!)
I got this in shade 'Creamy Vanilla' and it was £28.50.

Again this is very thick foundation and it is pretty hard to blend,
even with a foundation brush. I found mixing it with a regular
foundation loosened it up and made it easier to work with.
Also I find it drys very quickly while applying so you have to be quick with it.

This isn't the most amazing foundation I've used, out of ten I'd
rate it a 7. But what this product lacks in blending points
it gains for coverage. The coverage is really good (as it's supposed
to cover blemishes, surgical & acne scars, sun spots & varicose veins)
I just find it too dry/thick for my skin on it's own but
like I said with another foundation it's great.

This base mascara is by 'Lancome' called 'Cils Booster'
and it was £21.
This helps my lashes look longer and fuller as my eyelashes
are awful! They're so short but with curling my eyelashes
and then applying this they look better. It's still no miracle
booster but nothing is apart from falsies right?

It doesn't clump my lashes either and allows you to
build up on how thick you want your lashes to look.
(see what I mean?It's like they don't exist :( )
I only applied one coat in this picture and without using an
eyelash curler but normally I apply two coats.

I know this one isn't a big budget buy but I thought
I'd throw it in there as I LOVE IT!
This is by 'Rimmel' called Lasting Finish Lipstick
in colour 'Drop Of Sherry'.

This is a lovely warm colour with slight pink undertones
but also quite plummy. Great for winter if you're
a bit worried about going for full red like me!
And although it looks shimmery it looks quite matte on.
It's very moisturizing as well and lasts quite a long time.
This was £4.99.

Au Revoir!

Keeping Toasty

It's now my favourite time of year when the leaves fall
and time to snuggle up in a warm duvet with a hot cocoa
with a good old film :)

So I recently realised it's time to update my summer wardrobe
and buy some winter essentials.
So here's what I've been loving for Autumn so far...

I got this scarf & hat from Primark. The scarf was £5
and the hat was £5. The hat is actually a mans hat haha
But I have a potato head and most of the girls hats in Primark
are a wee bit tight for me -_-

This jumper isn't particularly warm on it's own but
it's great to throw on over the top of other jumpers or blouses.
This was £6 again from Primark. (And yes this one is a girls jumper haha)

This moisturiser is amazing! It's from a range of moisturisers
designed to match to your skin type. I got the Normal/Dry
skin combination. It's very light almost like a serum but isn't greasy and absorbs
into the skin pretty quickly. It leaves my skin feeling refreshed and
soft, which is great as skin gets very dry
during the winter. It was only £4 from Asdas aswell so is a bargain!

Here is a link to the product to look at the whole range..

This is also another great buy for Winter. My lips are always cracked
anyway so they get like the Grand Canyon in the Winter!
This is called Baby Lips by Maybelline and was about £4 from Boots.
Again they do different types for different needs.
I LOVE this balm,it instantly moisturizes my lips and smells so
yummy,it smells like tropical fruit/watermelon.

Check out the range...

Well that's it for now folks!
What have you bought for Winter?

A day with the stars

I hadn't been to Madame Tussauds in years so when my partner
got us tickets i was so excited! The last time I went was when the Planetarium
was next door but now it's all converted together.

There have been so many new celebrities added since I
last visited, including my all time favourite Michael Jackson! :D

Here are some snaps with other people!

Now this one i generally thought was a normal girl taking a photo so i
waited for her to take her photo & move but she never moved so
i eventually poked her and of course realised she is infact plastic -_-

This was really fun they now have sets that you can get photos done on.
Pretty swish if you ask me!

The London Eye yayyy!
I had such a good time and i'd definitely go again. There's
so many things I still need to go and see in London,at
least that's one thing crossed off my list :)

Fun times

Hey guys! Just thought i'd share some random photos of what i've been getting up to the past few months.

One of them was the gamerexpo in London! I had never been to one before so i was pretty excited. You get to check out the latest games and up coming games along with trying out Xbox one! Exciting stuff :) We got to play on the new Battlefield which i suck at but i just pretended i was the nuts and seemed to blag it haha

They also had some cool cosmo guys dressed up for different games.I got chased by a few zombies which left me nearly leaving something in my pants.
(Here's me with Predator ;p)

Another exciting this was seeing Boyce Avenue perform at London in Islington and they were amazing! You can check out their stuff on youtube.

Lemmie know if you have done these things and what did you think? :)

Halloween/birthday party

Well it was that time of year again, another year older!
So as my birthday's pretty much right next to Halloween
we thought we'd throw a birthday/Halloween party.
It's also that time of year again where that little excited child within me comes out
and decides to go overboard with halloween decorations and outfits!
I guess that's one of the great things about having your birthday right next to halloween, all the parties!

Asdas are doing some really great fancy dress costumes and decorations at the moment so check it out if you want great ideas!

Anyway,I thought i'd share some of my birthday party photos!
I decided to attempt to dress as Poison Ivy from Batman as i usually just go for
a zombie or witch so I wanted to try something different.

So here's my outfit.
I just bought the green dress from MissGuided.com for about £10! I then found the plastic ivy vines that used to be my nans but I'm sure you could buy some from Ebay or Amazon.
I sewn the leaves onto the dress in swirling lines wrapping around the dress, which
ended up being incredibly itchy throughout the night!

Although the weather was pretty shoddy the night was really good.
I hope you all had a great Halloween :)

What costumes did you come up with?
(hopefully more creative than mine!)

Make room for baby!

Hellooo everyone!
It feels like forever since I last blogged!I've been so
caught up in my little bundle of joy :D
Well my baby ended up being nearly 2 weeks overdue,
lazy little girl!I had a pretty rough labour and there were a
few complications but we both pulled through ok :)

So anyway I thought i'd share her nursery pictures.
My whole life i've always had this image in my head of what my
babys nursery would look like. Especially if it was a girl!
I had this image of soft baby pink walls with fairies and
cute animals painted on the walls, kind of Peter Rabbit in mind.
Also with white lace curtains that draped over a flowery blind
with cream fluffy carpet. (Getting a bit carried away right?)

So as soon as we knew we were having a girl I started
doing up her room straight away! It meant so much to be able
to make my dream a reality and I just hope my little girl
loves it! :)

So here it is...

These are just a quick view of when it was first done,if
you'd like to see it in more detail leave a comment :)

Pregnancy Life Savers!

Hello everyone!

I know it's been yonks since I last blogged
but I've been so busy the past few months getting everything ready
for my little one before she arrives! (which is now in 4 days!)
I've been running around getting her nursery ready and buying way too many baby clothes!
But finally everything's pretty much ready so I can now put my feet up and attempt to "relax" before her big arrival.

(Yes that is me looking very "plump")

Anywho I wanted to write about some of the "struggles" us preggy ladies have to put up with
and I thought it might be handy to show the products that have helped me
throughout this pregnancy  as i wish there was
someone who told me what products are handy etc.

So without further adieu here's my list of lifesavers! :D

Palmers stretch marks

Ok,first up is 'Palmers Cocoa Butter Formula'.
Now in the first few months I never bothered moisturising my belly and i saw this product
but never bothered to buy it as to be honest
i never thought i'd get really bad stretch marks but when i got to about 7 months,
the stretchies arrived and big time! :(

I was a little skeptical when buying this though as i thought is this really gonna make a difference?
But i gave it a bash anyway
and got it from Asdas for £2.49.

Since using it i have noticed my stretch marks fade a little and appear slightly smaller.
But i was slathering it on religiously everyday so unless you're willing to
rub it in at least 2-3 times a day i wouldn't really bother purchasing.
But then that would be the same with any "stretch mark" moisturiser, you have to be committed
to make any difference.
It does have a lovely cocoa nutty, buttery smell (as to be expected)
and has a great velvety texture to it but it can take awhile to sink in as it's pretty thick.
But overall like i said it has help aid them to looking a bit better so i do
recommend this.

This contains Vitamin E, Collagen, Elastin & Shea Butter.
(Here's their website if you wanna check out other products!)

Now these 2 really are a good purchase!
This is a brand "Mum&Me" which has some great products
ranging from pregnancy to new mum to little babies!

mum&me bump soothing spray

This is from their "Bump" range and it's called "Cool & Relieve Soothing Spray".
Now your body temperature is all over the place when pregnant
but i found i get so hot when everyone else was shivering! Especially if
you're a fellow summer preggy one like myself dying in the heat of the sun
this is one of the best things to cool you down.
It contains Peppermint Oil & Calendula.

You basically spray it anywhere you need cooling down,it can even be sprayed on
your face thank god! (Just don't spray it into your eyes whatever you do!)
It instantly feels cool and refreshing on your skin
and smells minty so it's nice and refreshing in all forms.
This has been especially good to use on my swollen elephant feet
and ankles.
I will definitely be using this in labor to cool me down!

I brought this in Tescos for about £3,4 i'm sorry i
can't remember exactly how much it was :(

Mum&me bump sleep mist

This is "Relax & Unwind Sleep Mist" which contains Lavender and Camomile.
Now any pregnant girly will tell you that a good, full nights sleep
is a rare treat as you're struggling to get comfy with your growing
bump, constant temperature change and of course having to pee
every half an hour!

So i thought i would try this out to see if it helped me to sleep or at least relax
and i think it does generally help you to relax. The smell helps you breathe
slowly and relax and hopefully will help you drift off easier.
I just spray it a couple of times onto my pillow but you could just spray it around your room
for a relaxing 'aroma'.
This was again from Tescos for £4.99.

I found this went really well with their "Bump Relax & Unwind Bath Soak"
as they do go hand in hand to help you relax.
(I'm sorry i don't have a real picture i need to buy some more!)
This smells really good! It definitely made me relax and help soak my
muscles when i've had major back ache or stomach cramps.

schwarzkopf beach matt

Now i know i've already reviewed this but i'll throw it in this blog anyway
as i think it deserves it.
But this is gonna help any new mum or pregnant missy who
like me simply can't be bothered to spend hours taming
their barnet :)

This was £4.05 from Superdrug.

And last but not least is the 'Bodyform light liners micro'.
(Again I'm sorry I don't have a real picture I need to get more)
Bodyform Micro Liners
I got these from Boots for £1.65.
Now I know these aren't going to be ideal for major leaks or
if your waters break in a "gush",however i think they're handy
just to have in your handbag when you go out incase of
a needed freshen up.

They're basically little sanitary pads/liners in a little handbag size
plastic tub. I believe they come in different thicknesses,
E.G light, regular, heavy etc but they only had regular when i got them.

So they're the main products i recommend trying.

But the main thing I recommend more than anything is to try and relax
and try to remember your body is just doing what it's
supposed to be doing getting you ready for your bundle of joy!
(Easier said than done I know!)
But I hope at least one person finds this helpful
for them throughout their pregnancy/labour :)

If you would like to ask me anything
product/pregnancy/baby related or just general chitchat go for it :)
