Don't Waste Your Life

This is going to be a bit of a heavy post
but this is something very close to my heart
and I just hope this will help at least one person.

I always try to live my life by the saying
"Treat others how you would like to be treated"
Unfortunately not everyone follows the
same idea.
I have dealt with a LOT of selfish, immature
and just pure cruel people,
pretty much most of my life to be honest.
I just couldn't understand how some people in
this world could be so mean and hurtful.
Especially when they are the people who you
loved the most.
The people who you let in, the ones you
thought would always be there.

But finally after dealing with so much hate
I finally learned to stand up to it
and clear my life from all that misery.

The only way to deal with people like that is to
simply rise above it and think
'You know what? I DON'T care what you think.
I DON'T care what you have to say about me.
Because I know they're all lies
and I'm better than that.'

If you ever feel like someone is pushing you around,
taking advantage, not being there for you
or just making you unhappy,
you need to ignore that person
and move on.
Because every second that you waste
on being sad because of someone else
is a second of your life you'll never get back.

Some people like to manipulate
others and be selfish because they can,
but if you find your own way they'll
soon be the ones running after you.
Whether it be months or years later
they will look back and regret ever loosing
someone like you.

So don't waste your life
worrying about other people
and smile :)

Babyliss Curl Secret

I've always struggled with curling my ridiculously thick locks.
I usually use a standard curling iron but the curl doesn't hold
for very long, drops after a few hours and just
looks like a tangled mess :(

So when I saw this I knew
I had to get my chubby little hands on one.

So I'll go through the basics of it and then
how to use it.

- It has a Ceramic curl chamber for smooth, shiny curls
- Alternates the curl direction for a natural finish
- Automatically turns itself off
- Has 2 heat settings: 210c & 230c
- 3 timer settings
- Comes with a heat protection mat

Before you start I advise you to use a Heat protectant
and serum on your hair.
This definitely takes some getting used to and I think everyone will
have a slightly different way of doing it as everyones hair
is different but this is how I use it.

First section your hair like you
would when straightening it.
Then add serum to your hair.
Now you can only add a small amount of hair into
the curler and the smaller the amount of hair the
tighter the curl.

The switch on the right is the heat setting
and the switch on the left is the timer.
I usually do 10 seconds on the highest heat.
The longer the timer and higher the heat
the tighter the curl.

(Sorry for my nails they're in need of serious painting!)

Then you put the section of hair into the curler slot
and clamp the curler down. Then your
hair should get sucked up into the curler.

Your hair wraps up inside where the arrow's pointing.
So you just hold the clamp down until it beeps when the
timer has run out and you release.
And there's your curl :)
Just continue section by section of hair and
spray with hairspray after.

So here's some pros & cons

Pros:

- Good if you're not good at using a curling iron/curling
with a straightener
- gives a very natural looking curl/wave
- the timer prevents you from burning your hair
- turns off automatically after a certain amount of time

Cons:

- your hair can get stuck inside the curler. Yes I said it, stuck!
I'm not gonna lie there have been a few occasions
where my hair has got completely tangled inside the curler
and I've considered cutting my hair out of it!
So unless I put serum on my hair to
smooth it down it will get tangled inside.
This is my only problem with it.
It does have a "anti-tangle" system where
if your hair's tangled it will automatically release
your hair. But as I said before,
there have been times where my hair just won't budge :(

Besides the rather serious con,
I still really like this and will continue to use it
just because I love the end result and
the curls last a lot longer.

I do recommend you check this out.

What do you think of this curler?
If you don't use it what do you use?

Valentines Day Look

So it's that time of year again where everything
is about Love and treating your partner to treats & trinkets.
However instead of being all lovey-dovey this year
I thought I'd buy my partner some "useful" manly presents.
(A portable beer backpack & a manly computer device)
- Just what a man needs right?

So anyway I thought I'd share this makeup & hair look
for the special day.

First up is the makeup. These are the colours I used for the eyes.

First apply a white/cream shadow to the inner corner of
your lid. This will open your eyes and make them look bigger.
I used my 'Sleek I-Divine' palette in 'Au Naturel' for this and used colour
'Nougat'.

Then apply a purple shadow over the rest of the lid.
For this I wanted a brighter purple so I used a shadow from
a palette I got for Xmas (Sorry I don't know where it's from)

Then apply a darker purple over your lid
blending it in.
For this I used 'Regal'.

Then apply a shimmery purple/plum colour onto
the third of your lid and blend.
This colour is 'Conker'.

Then use a black or dark brown on the outer corners of your
lid and blend outwards.

Then apply black eyeliner and mascara.

I used 'Benefit They're real' mascara.

Then you can apply false lashes if you want a more
dramatic look.

Then I used my 'Benefit Pore-fessional' Primer.

Then apply your foundation & blusher/bronzer.
I'm using Estee Lauder mixed with Loreal True Match
and Dior in number 849.

You can do any colour lip shade you want but I've selected 3
shades which I think go great with this look.

First for nude lips I used 'Rimmel Moisture Renew lipstick' in colour
'700 Nude Delight'. Then I used 'Benefit Her Glossiness'
lipgloss.

Shade 2 is a beautiful plumy colour which can be intense but
you can tone it down by blotting it with some tissue and add
a nude or brown shade over the top.

For this I used 'Rimmel Moisture Renew lipstick
in colour 330 Sloane's Plum'.

And last but not least is the scary big red lips.
This is quite a bright cherry red and I'm still not certain
whether I can get away with this or not?
But anyway this is 'Collection Lasting Colour in shade 1
Queen Of Hearts'.

And then for the hair I just used my 'Babyliss Curl Secret'
curler (which I'll post a review off soon)

So that's it folks!
I hope you have a lovely Valentines Day!
