Pregnancy Life Savers!

Hello everyone!

I know it's been yonks since I last blogged
but I've been so busy the past few months getting everything ready
for my little one before she arrives! (which is now in 4 days!)
I've been running around getting her nursery ready and buying way too many baby clothes!
But finally everything's pretty much ready so I can now put my feet up and attempt to "relax" before her big arrival.

(Yes that is me looking very "plump")

Anywho I wanted to write about some of the "struggles" us preggy ladies have to put up with
and I thought it might be handy to show the products that have helped me
throughout this pregnancy  as i wish there was
someone who told me what products are handy etc.

So without further adieu here's my list of lifesavers! :D

Palmers stretch marks

Ok,first up is 'Palmers Cocoa Butter Formula'.
Now in the first few months I never bothered moisturising my belly and i saw this product
but never bothered to buy it as to be honest
i never thought i'd get really bad stretch marks but when i got to about 7 months,
the stretchies arrived and big time! :(

I was a little skeptical when buying this though as i thought is this really gonna make a difference?
But i gave it a bash anyway
and got it from Asdas for £2.49.

Since using it i have noticed my stretch marks fade a little and appear slightly smaller.
But i was slathering it on religiously everyday so unless you're willing to
rub it in at least 2-3 times a day i wouldn't really bother purchasing.
But then that would be the same with any "stretch mark" moisturiser, you have to be committed
to make any difference.
It does have a lovely cocoa nutty, buttery smell (as to be expected)
and has a great velvety texture to it but it can take awhile to sink in as it's pretty thick.
But overall like i said it has help aid them to looking a bit better so i do
recommend this.

This contains Vitamin E, Collagen, Elastin & Shea Butter.
(Here's their website if you wanna check out other products!)

Now these 2 really are a good purchase!
This is a brand "Mum&Me" which has some great products
ranging from pregnancy to new mum to little babies!

mum&me bump soothing spray

This is from their "Bump" range and it's called "Cool & Relieve Soothing Spray".
Now your body temperature is all over the place when pregnant
but i found i get so hot when everyone else was shivering! Especially if
you're a fellow summer preggy one like myself dying in the heat of the sun
this is one of the best things to cool you down.
It contains Peppermint Oil & Calendula.

You basically spray it anywhere you need cooling down,it can even be sprayed on
your face thank god! (Just don't spray it into your eyes whatever you do!)
It instantly feels cool and refreshing on your skin
and smells minty so it's nice and refreshing in all forms.
This has been especially good to use on my swollen elephant feet
and ankles.
I will definitely be using this in labor to cool me down!

I brought this in Tescos for about £3,4 i'm sorry i
can't remember exactly how much it was :(

Mum&me bump sleep mist

This is "Relax & Unwind Sleep Mist" which contains Lavender and Camomile.
Now any pregnant girly will tell you that a good, full nights sleep
is a rare treat as you're struggling to get comfy with your growing
bump, constant temperature change and of course having to pee
every half an hour!

So i thought i would try this out to see if it helped me to sleep or at least relax
and i think it does generally help you to relax. The smell helps you breathe
slowly and relax and hopefully will help you drift off easier.
I just spray it a couple of times onto my pillow but you could just spray it around your room
for a relaxing 'aroma'.
This was again from Tescos for £4.99.

I found this went really well with their "Bump Relax & Unwind Bath Soak"
as they do go hand in hand to help you relax.
(I'm sorry i don't have a real picture i need to buy some more!)
This smells really good! It definitely made me relax and help soak my
muscles when i've had major back ache or stomach cramps.

schwarzkopf beach matt

Now i know i've already reviewed this but i'll throw it in this blog anyway
as i think it deserves it.
But this is gonna help any new mum or pregnant missy who
like me simply can't be bothered to spend hours taming
their barnet :)

This was £4.05 from Superdrug.

And last but not least is the 'Bodyform light liners micro'.
(Again I'm sorry I don't have a real picture I need to get more)
Bodyform Micro Liners
I got these from Boots for £1.65.
Now I know these aren't going to be ideal for major leaks or
if your waters break in a "gush",however i think they're handy
just to have in your handbag when you go out incase of
a needed freshen up.

They're basically little sanitary pads/liners in a little handbag size
plastic tub. I believe they come in different thicknesses,
E.G light, regular, heavy etc but they only had regular when i got them.

So they're the main products i recommend trying.

But the main thing I recommend more than anything is to try and relax
and try to remember your body is just doing what it's
supposed to be doing getting you ready for your bundle of joy!
(Easier said than done I know!)
But I hope at least one person finds this helpful
for them throughout their pregnancy/labour :)

If you would like to ask me anything
product/pregnancy/baby related or just general chitchat go for it :)

New Hair Products!

Hey guys!

Here are some products I've bought and thought I'd share :)

Schwarzkopf got2b beach matt
Schwarzkopf got2b beach matt

Schwarzkopf got2b beach matt

Ok, product number 1 is a texturising salt spray by 'Schwarzkopf' got2b range called
'Beach matt'.
This has been a bit of a lifesaver for me throughout this heat wave and
is really good for hair on the go
as you just spray it in your hair wet or dry, give it a quick scrunch and tousle
and let it dry naturally to give you soft tousled waves.

It's really good if you're trying not to use heat on your hair
and just let your hair go crazy naturally :)
It smells amazing too,it has a real beachy, fruity zest to it leaving
your hair smelling scrummy!

I got this bad boy from Superdrug for £4.05 so it's a bit of a bargain!

 schwarzkopf guardian angel heat protectant

Also by 'Schwarzkopf got2b' range i picked up this heat protectant spray
called 'Guardian Angel'.

It says it protects from a heat of up to 220 with blow drying and straightening
and you spray it on wet/damp hair before you start styling.

So far i'm pleased with this product although i have only used it for
about 2 weeks it's not disappointed me so far.
I usually spray it mostly on the ends of my hair as that's the most damaged
seeing as i just can't seem to stop changing the colour of my hair!
So it seems to help protect it and it doesn't leave my hair feeling sticky
or greasy. Again, as usual with 'Schwarzkopf' products it smells
pretty good which is a bonus.

This was also £4.05 from Superdrug.

Here's their website so check it out!

Macadamia oil treatment

Now i know i am probably the last person on this planet to get
this product as to be honest the price did put me off a little bit. But
then something came over me one day and i thought stop being
such a prude and i went ahead and joined the rest
of humanity using this product.

Macadamia oil treatment

So i went ahead and got the 'Healing Oil Treatment'
as i said before my hair's pretty damaged at the ends.
Now i do feel a bit of a plonker as i've only used this twice on my hair
after washing so you could say how can i review it yet but i have to say it does
make my hair feel and look smoother and look less damaged.
(you can also put some of this in a deep conditioner for extra tlc)
I picked this up at a beauty supplier in the UK called 'Ultimate Beauty'
and it was £13.99,so a little pricey especially for it's size
but hopefully it'll be worth it!

A lot of people rave about this product claiming it helped them grow
their hair and repair it so i will continue to use it
and see if it lives up to it's reputation.
Obviously i'm not expecting a miracle and wake up with Rapunzel
hair, (even though that'd be amazing!) but just to see if it does
help with growing as my hair is taking FOREVER to grow longer!
So after more use, maybe after a couple of months i will
review it again and maybe keep posting my 'hair growing journey'.

Here's their site, they have loads of products to try out i was
stuck for choice!
