Hi Guys!
It's been a while since I last Blogged but I've been SO busy
over the X-mas period especially with the little one and what not.
I hope you all had a brilliant Christmas and enjoyed whatever it
was that you participated in :)
So on we go...
I thought I'd share some of the presents I am loving
that I was given for Christmas.
that I was given for Christmas.
(My intention of this is not to "rub it in" or "boast" about these things I just
purely would like to share them so that you may try them out yourself or
let me know what you think of them if you already have them)
So I thought I'd start with my eyeshadow palette by 'Sleek'.
They do all different kinds of colours & sets but I needed a simple,
natural earthy kind of palette and this one is perfect!
This is the packaging which I think looks quite smart and...well
sleek haha
This is the name of the palette; 'Au Naturel 601'.
And this of course is the palette, which is gorgeous!
Here's a closer look.
I love 'Sleek' products they always are nicely presented, good quality products,
nice ranges and most importantly, they are affordable!
Here is their website which I recommend you check out if you haven't already.
Next is a 'Soap&Glory' set.
Ohhh do I love Soap&Glory. I'm very obsessed with smelly things
and bathe things,so this is a little slice of heaven for me.
This is called 'Butter yourself' and it is a moisturiser which smells sooo
yummy I always want to lick it...but then remember that's
probably not a good idea...
Anyway, it has notes of frozen yuzu, orange oil, green fig and
jungle pomelo essence. So you can get an idea of how this would smell!
(For best results use this after using a scrub and when your skin
is still a bit damp)
This is called 'Foam Call' and this is a dual shower & bath
body wash with peppermint essential oils, grapeseed EFAs,
fruitilquid fig and orange waterjuice.
Again this smells delish and is very handy that you can use
it in the bath or shower.
And my favourite of the 3 is 'Flake away' which is a
fruity exfoliator to use all over your body.
(I apologise for the massive finger dips but I just grab hand fulls
of it when using it)
This is a very grainy exfoliator which sounds obvious but some
exfoliators just aren't very grainy and don't remove all the dead skin
cells as it's quite soft so this is very good for that.
It's quite waxy as well so it feels very moisturizing as you're using it.
I especially love using this before I put fake tan on as you don't
want rough patches.
So use the exfoliator first, then the shower/bath wash
and then the moisturizer and your skin will
look and feel amazing!
This is a fake tan mousse by 'Laurens Way' in shade
'Darker than dark'.
Now in all honesty I wasn't sure whether to ask for this
shade or a lighter one but I'm glad I picked this one
as usually I'll try out a tan and it takes ages to develop and
when it does it isn't as brown as you hoped and it can be quite patchy
and flake away quite easily.
This i just use the once and it comes out a really nice deep
brown and it stays brown for quite a while and so far it hasn't
gone all flaky after a few showers.
It also glides on really easily and leaves my skin feeling smooth.
However like any fake tan I'd advise you to exfoliate first
to avoid any patchy bits on your elbows, knees, ankles and hands.
Next is the 'Dior' blush set in number 849.
This colour is so beautiful I recommend it for everyone as
it's such a soft shade and it's warm without being too orange or pink.
I always struggle with blushers as pink undertones do not suit
me at all but then too peachy doesn't suit me either so this
is perfect for me. No wonder it's their most popular colour!
The packaging is also lovely and compact with a handy little mirror
and a brush that is so good to apply with.
I would do a swatch to show the colour but it is really delicate
and wouldn't show up brilliantly on camera.
It's one of those less is more products.
And last but not least is a concealer by the 'Fit Me' range
by 'Maybelline'.
I was pleasantly surprised by this one. It helps
cover my dark circles really well and just gives you a nice
fresh skin glow.
That's it from me folks. Sorry it was a bit long!
I've got lots of things I want to review and show soon that
hopefully you'll enjoy :)
Bye guys
